... and backpacker hostels and where many of the natives come for a little fun in the sun.
Days are spent meandering the beach, lapping up the water and working on my tan- trying to even out the patchwork of white spots. We walk down to the old fort walls and grace through town in search of a nice spot for an afternoon drink only to wind up back at the beach just in time for a classic Goan sunset.

We took a cooking class in Palolem and learnt how to make: Mushroom Masala, Palak Paneer and Dal Tadka curries with chapatti. ... the beach shack again to have a drink watching the sunset about 6.30pm. We were going toget a taxi into Calungute for dinner, the next town along& a lot busier than here but a bit knackered by now. So between dinner I In the hotel , but its an Indoitalian night with classical Indian dancers so we go out to somewhere down the road we had been for a drink before. ... by a man selling drums for ages, banging them in his ear! Luke finally replied with "do I look like I want to buy a bloody drum?!". It was a hot and sweaty walk around the market but was worth a visit and we brought a few things. Oh and Luke nearly got his ear pierced again! We relaxed on the beach for a couple of hours and had a few beers in a cool bar on the beach that night. At last we had found some good house ...
... had a shave! And what a shave! All kinds of lotions and potions, spraying of water, lathering for ages - then the cut throat razor (new blade!) Not a millimetre of his face untouched! Then - unbelievably a face pack!!! More massage - even sticking his fingers in Micks ears and applying some sort of tens machine to the side of his head - this gave Mick vibrations ...
