... ve to shake hands with his new chums. Deliberately giving that little extra squeeze they nurse their hands when done. He's laughing at them as it's exactly what he did when we shook the first time. We're all laughing and joking. I have new mates.

See yet another kid with a toy rifle strapped across his back whilst riding his bike. It would look very real in the shadows of night time. What is it with this city and kids with guns?

... me arose when small tweaks to what I knew made a huge difference. Like pronunciation of endings and odd prefixes. This can be very frustrating, but I'm sure I'll get used to it with practice. ... current level of vitriol in public discourse is acceptable. While I strongly disagree with some political points of view, I never see another American as the "enemy" because of their views. ... a couple of pools, full service waiters that come to your chairs on the sand to serve you drinks, food or an arguilla or two! I was temped to get one but decided against it. We went swimming in the pool with the boys for awhile and I started to teach them how to splash each other. Next thing I know, they are both attacking me like crazy trying to splash me the entire time. It was fun.
