Summerfield Suites is the place to stay

Excellent, excellent hotel!!!!! Good service, good location and beautiful rooms.. We stayed there 4 nights and it was EXCELLENT. If I could stay more nights :)

At the hotel they have from monday till thursday a social hour with wine, beer and food (That's what i love the most)

The staff is also FRIENDLY.....

My advice: if you want to stay in a hotel in Miami close to the airport, Summerfield Suites is the PLACE ;-)

Loved the resort!!!!

The Summerfield is a new and beautifully appointed resort near the airport. The beach is only a couple of minutes away. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit with full kitchen and living area. Each room had a large TV with VCR in the living room. The furniture was immaculate and the rooms were very clean. They offered a great free breakfast each morning and free happy hour each weekday evening. If you are going to stay in the Miami airport area, this is definately the place to stay. The staff, although not English speaking, are very friendly and helpful. We will stay there again and again.

Great place, but too bad for theft from room

We stayed at the Summerfield often. Never had any complaint. Good service, good price. Large spacious rooms. Regretfull, last stay there, housekeeping "CLEARED OUT" our room, removing items of value * +- 500US$ worth" claiming first that "you had checked out", Then they claimed that the items were "accidentaly thrown out" with the trash." but they beat around the bush when we insisted to check the trash bins to retrieve items ( They probably knew that the items were NOT to be found there). Then claiming that "hotel security" has to investigate. Anyway, after repeated calls and delays that nothing happened, housekeeping supervisor reluctantly called in Miami PD ( two days later), who came and took statementsz from us, and list of items. We were to be informed by hotel regarding their insurance coverage for loss. After repeated faxes and calls, with no reply from hotel management on reimbursement, except a short reply from "risk management" claiming that no liability was assumed by hotel, "after extensive investigation" letters were sent to corporate. Now, months afterwards. Not even the decency to answer!! It seems to me that there is a scam between housekeepers and someone housekeeping mgtmnt whereas they cover each others ***. (I would be carefull about leaving ANYTHING of value in this (of any other place).We intend to pursue this matter further. I am sorry to state that WYndham Corporate has never answered our complaints regarding the theft nor the treatment received afterwards.Too bad. I liked staying there.

Great for a pre or post cruise stay!

For a pre and post stay cruise, our favorite place to stay is the Summerfield Suites by Wyndham - Miami Airport. They are soooo friendly there and the accomodations are very unique.

There is a little store that you can buy food for your kitchen, or you can take a shuttle (I believe there is a charge for this) to a nearby eatery. You also have a FULL buffet breakfast in the mornings. Also, within walking distance is a grocery store and liquor store, plus a few more shops.

We have stayed at the Suites twice. Once with our family of five and once with my parents. Both times, we got the two bedroom/two bath suite with kitchen and living area. The beds are comfortable and the baths a good size.

The hotel is quiet considering it is so near the airport. There is also a free shuttle from the airport.

On cruise morning, we took a shuttle to the port. It cost around $10 pp and we signed up for a time the night prior. Warning: They will insist that leaving for the port at 10:00 is too early. The desk wanted us to take an 11:00 shuttle. We compromised and took a 10:30. By the time we got to the port, it was already crowded. You may want to just get a cab.

Great place to relax with beautiful pool area.

Great Place for the price!!

We just spent the past 5 nights at this place, and I said the overall experience was great for the price. We booked the 2 bedroom suite for 4 adults and 2 kids for $169 per night, and the suite is very spacious with a living room deviding the 2 bedrooms. The breakfast is complimentary with good food each morning, I said good food b/c this is not a 5-star hotel which provides sit down service and the whole top notch food presentation, this hotel has the more than basic breakfast including eggs, bacons, sausages, cereals, bagles, breads, fresh fruits, coffee and tea, juices, hot chocolates and more, which is not bad at all. This hotel is kept very clean, the staffs are friendly (except Kinny at the front desk, he made me waited for 10 mins just to hand me a local map, avoid him if possible). The heated pool is very nice too, my kids really had fun in the pool. The parking is also complimentary, and the location is convinient to get to the highways.

The noise from the airplanes is not a problem at all, we don't think we heard anything that is too bothersome. I would go back to this hotel again.

Our 1 night stay was pleasant!

We stayed here for one night in january 2004 and it was good. The noise from the nereby airport was not too bad so the hotel must have soundproofed the rooms. I wake easily so I took the precausion of wearing earplugs when I went to sleep just in case.

The room was nice but perhaps a little small. I got the impression that the hotel is a quiet place where one can really relax, but since it was off season perhaps there are more things happening in other times of the year.

We got a complimentary breakfast which was good but there were that many things to choose from. However we felt that the breakfast was good enough for us.

The shuttle leaves every hour and half hour and we got some great advise from the driver.

Overall it is a good place to stay but I think that I would have chosen another hotel if we should have stayed longer in Miami. I believe that in that case I would have picked a hotel closer to the beach.

What a great place

my family and I spent one week at the summerfields suites .it was the best week of our vacation.we had a two bed room suites with two bathroom .three televisons and the best part of it was a full size kitchen.I went to the food store near by and brought stuffs to cook.it save you alot and you getting breakfast in the morning.free wine and snacks in the afternoon. The staff was more than helpfull to us.what more could we have ask for.I am now planning for my next vacation,summerfield suites or no other,great place.

Very nice

Stayed here a couple days after a cruise. Truly a very nice place.

Staff was very nice but not overly helpful. Hotel and pool were fabulous. Airport was very close but only 2 planes flew over while we were there. Obviously not a direction planes normally go. No noise at night. Only problem is you need a rental car. They have a shuttle to the airport but there's no place for dinner close. Walking distance to a drugstore and chinese food but it's a below average shopping ctr. Our 3 room suite was perfect. You control the thermostat. Beds, linens and furniture was top notch.

Great Value

As a Wyndham By Request member I enjoyed the snacks and drink provided in the kitchen at no charge. The free long distance calls, the happy hour and free breakfast bar. The room was a two bedroom suite both with bathrooms and a living room. I think there were three TV's in the room.

The full kitchen was convenient and the pool was very enjoyable too.

The staff helpful and friendly. Cookies at check in too. The 100 dollars I spent for this room and the amenities I received including the free shuttle to the airport makes other more expensive hotels that offer less look ridiculous. Keep up the good work Wyndham!!!

Great stay at the Summerfield

What a great place to stay. I had the 1 bedroom which had a separate living room and full kitchen. The supermarket is a block or so away so you can stock up food. Free coffee is available all day and free breakfast is served daily. Mon-Thurs free snacks and wine is available as well. There is a VCR in the room, so bring your TV shows that you have taped. DSL available for you laptop for 10 bucks a day. Kinkos is 12 bucks and HOUR!! Pool and Jacuzzi are nice and 2 barbeque grills are outside. Pet Friendly as well. Strict about the 3pm check out tho
