No worries if traveling with kids.
I was travelling with my wife and two year old daughter so comfort and convenience was the most important thing to me. We stayed here for 2 nights in March 2004. The hotel is located in a nice, quiet area and the property was very well maintained.
-the complimentary breakfast buffet is the best I've ever had.
-nice outdoor pool
-hotel has a no noise policy
-near good restaurants, shops and grocery stores.
-we were in a room facing the public transit line. Wasn't too bad but you know when a train passes by. Be sure to ask for a room away from this side.
Great place to stay, will stay here again
I've travelled to many different destinations, and this stay ranks among the most comfortable. Very much an accomodating location with plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. The condo type units remind me of some of the nicer timeshare locations. Nice pool area and jacuzzi -- decent breakfast. We have a 2 queen bedroom/2 bath unit with a sofabed in the living room for three of us and the cost was under $130/night. It's great to have a full kitchen when you're away, even if it's just for the refrigerator and/or microwave. Make sure to go online and join the Wyndham By Request program (free to join), you receive free in room internet service for the length of your stay as well as other great perks (mileage partners credits, requested snacks when you arrive, etc). Great price for my stay. Definitely recommended.
Great place to stay!
On vacation recently with family. Stayed in a two bedroom suite with sofa bed that accomadated 5 adults beautifully. Friendly staff that went the extra mile to make our stay more enjoyable. Convenient to airport and Metro station. Lots of food choices nearby. Nice quit location. Has a very nice court yard with pool. Breaffast buffet was very plentiful and many choices. I would definately stay here again if in the area. A great rate was offered as well. Only a few miles to Manhattan Beach and convenient to get to. I highly recomment this place to families as well as couples. A++++++
Pre-Wedding Jitters....Bridal Party Prep
Getting ready for your wedding can be a nervous and sticky affair. With the bridal party in tow, we checked into the hotel with a nervous night ahead. The rooms were spacious and delightful. We stayed in the two bedroom suite...giving us plenty of room for the satin to de-wrinkle.... The accomodations were wonderful. Despite being nervous about the big day ahead, we were all able to get a good sleep, and even eat a spectacular breakfast. Be careful of the rooms along the back side of the hotel near the train. They can provide some extra noise you may not be used to. The wedding took place at Verandas in Manhattan Beach. The wedding party, and many guests of the bride and groom stayed here. It was great for families and groups of friends traveling to see our wedding. The hotel is highly recommended. The wedding day was a huge success due to our stay here.
Discerning Traveler's Dream!
Great find 3 miles from LAX! In a quiet, upscale area that offers Starbucks, Trader Joes, Barnes & Noble, Old Navy and etc. across the street. For an accurate map (mapquest ) be sure to put in SOUTH Douglas. Hotel is spotless with beautiful decor ( true to online pictures), friendly staff, large pool, and laundry facilities on site. Ask for a room upgrade if available upon check-in for a spacious two bedroom suite. Monday - Thursdays evenings from 5:30-7pm has a rotating menu of light snacks (chicken nuggets to soup & salad) with FREE beer and wine. No kidding. They have Bud and Bud Lite on tap! Breakfast offers hot eggs and waffles, biscuts and gravy, or pancakes depending on the day ( get there early for best selections ) and fruit, breads and beverages. Convinient central location- right off the 405 highway, Rosecrans/ Aviation Blvd. Hotel is behind the Macaroni Grill. You'll enjoy your stay!
I was at the Summerfield Suites in El Segundo, California August 2003 and it was a nice surprise. I never heard of El Segundo, California but it was nice and quiet and in an area where it was mainly shopping malls and restaurants. The area was still nice and quiet. The hotel was clean and pleasantly decorated. Although we had a two bedroom suite, the rooms were rather small. We had a little problem with the maid staff but the hotel itself was clean.Once, when we had to complain about the maid service, the problem was rectified promptly. And the staff at the front desk was very helpful, curteous, professional and nice. The hotel was a pleasant surprise. Manhattan Beach is nearby, very nice family beach. The Kettle is a nice breakfast place with nice waiters and waitresses. The homemade muffins there are outstanding.
Excellent stay at great price!
GREAT hotel! Although the location is not ideal for travelers that plan to spend most of their time touring the Los Angeles attractions, the accomodations are well worth the drive. We stayed in a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom suite with living area and kitchen for $100/night. The continental breakfast was outstanding and the staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
My kids loved this place
This hotel was very clean and quiet. We had reserved a 1 bedroom suite and at check-in requested an upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite. It was available. My kids loved having their own room w/tv & bathroom. The rooms were nice and large. The 2 bdrm suite has a living area as well. Very nice feature to be able to relax in a non-sleeping room. Room also had a regular size refrigerator & microwave. Tv's in both bedrooms as well as the living area. The pool area was very nice as well.
The rooms were very nice and clean. The hotel was within walking distance to many things (Starbucks, restaurants, etc.) Nice hot breakfast in the morning. Gourmet grocer across the street and a BBQ grill available at the hotel.
We stayed in a one bedroom suite; it was very roomy and beautifully appointed. The ammenities provided, including the continental breakfast, were of high quality.
The helpful, friendly staff made our stay most pleasant. For the price, I couldn't imagine a better place.

Woke to another lovely sunny day, 28deg c before breakfast! Breakfast wasn't much to shout about, coffee, bagels, muffins that was about it. Loaded the car and headed on our way, back to LA to catch our flight.
