    ... on the bus journey were super-steep and there was an air of relief that we were traversing them in a bus. With the rain worsening we opted for a night in a hotel, which turned out to be a great place and a class above the other motels so far.     ... this would happen, but I long for the flat and straight interstate highways through Iowa.

    For now, everything is good with my car. Have put on over 6,000 miles since leaving MN (if you're looking for a breakdown of miles driven: Me: all of them, Mom: none of them). Runs great with plenty of passing power, just using a little extra oil. The Monte and I are ok with that.
