I then went down to St Georges ...

... on a bus to the town of Naoussa on the north coast of the island.

Naoussa ended up being quite a lovely little seaside village. Full of fishing boats, the town had a bit more of a traditional feel to it. Nathan and I explored the ruins of an old Venetian fort. While the fort was much smaller than you are no doubt imagining it as, this crumbling ancient watchtower is nonetheless a cool spot to take pictures. Originally built in the ...

... much become an icon of Mykonos himself. The next day, we took the ferry to Athens. We arrived pretty late at night so we quickly grabbed dinner before turning in since we had an early start the next morning. We had a flight to Turkey to catch at noon so we were the first ones at the Acropolis. It worked out really well though - it wasn't too hot for the long climb up the hill and the place wasn't crowded with tourists ...
