... up their run through and take their own seats, I saw my window, literally. A seat in the upper row. I grabbed my bag and jumped into it. It would be nice to have some space in the four hour flight. As we flew over Dubai it was amazing to see true desert. Complete blankets of sand, with a city or amazingly enough a whole lawn created in the middle of nothing. The day was hazy as we came in, but I could still see the very top of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. ...

Economy on the A380 provides you with wider seats, bigger tv screens and a little bit more leg room. Still your knees get a little stiff so it’s important to keep moving your legs throughout the flight – as you know.

... and I got a few more movies under my belt and fell asleep for perhaps 3-4 hours and then was wide awake for about 6 hours or so before we landed. Great !! I think we'll just have to bight the bullet and buy PE seats next time as that's the only time I have slept soundly on a plane when we've had those seats.

We landed in Sydney about 5.15am and then had a long wait to get our bags. ...

    Dubai to Dublin...

What a relief to get off the plane in Dubai after the fourteen and a half hour flight. Fortunately, our layover before the flight to Dublin was only 1 hour and 20 minutes. This time the 8 hour flight to Dublin seemed to drag on and on. We felt increasingly uncomfortable due to the dry air of the plane. John's eyes were getting dry, our noses getting blocked and the lack of sleep were wearing us down. Twenty-four hours is a long time to be travelling to a ...
