... should be easy but Nancy the sat-nav has us going over the mountains, we see some signs on the road no doubt put I one residents advising that the sat-nav is wrong, so we turn around and find ourselves. The museum is just out of this world, the architecture of the site is stunning and the art on display is really really top quality, they have Picasso, Turner and whole sections of Dutch Grand Masters and it's all for free.....frankly the best collection money can buy, and that is ...

We did not sat down for the whole afternoon (''shop 'til you drop!''). Then, the family ...

... for interviews, so we called a cab to bring us back to the hotel, a 10 minute ride from the harbor, then we turned in for the night. The next day was spent mostly conducting on campus interviews, which was an experience heightened by the gorgeous campus at UCSB. The campus is right on the water, so while walking to and from classes the students are treated to million-dollar views of the Pacific ocean. The overall vibe on campus ...

... also a cable car/trolley that runs around the beach district and the Old Town centre shopping district. This is a bargain at only 50cents per passenger (Chloe was free) and saved our aching feet.

A wonderful relaxing day and well worth vising Santa Barbara with something for the whole family to enjoy.
Heading north on Highway 1 tomorrow, destination ...
