... view right over Monterey Bay, and the Pacific Ocean, it cost more than I've ever paid for a room, and I've stayed at some very high end places before. But anyway, it was nice, and the room was literally over the water. I needed a smoke to get over the bill, so went out onto the balcony, and I hear something that sounded like clapping, I look down, and looking back up at me is the most gorgeous Sea Otter! I swear it was "barking" and clapping its flippers at me. To be ...

... up the Pacific Highway for a couple of days in The American Riviera, Santa Barbara. After we arrived we went for a long walk along the East Beach promenade and the Wharf at the harbour. We had Fish and Chips at the Wharf, which is similar to Blackpool Pier! (NOT). This is definitely somewhere I could live. Absolutely beautiful. Some more adventures in Santa Barbara tomorrow, maybe a little wine tasting on the cards, and possibly a few beers as I don't plan on ...

... well, in a bigger city than La Pocatière!

On Monday, I spent half of my day at the beach and I went to the Zoo. It is a small zoo but there is a lot of walking involved in the park. However, I thought that it was really neat for children. There is a small playground and a lot of place for them to run. It really is a nice place to spend a sunny day there togheter as a family. Overall, I enjoyed my visit.

... Or just give them your card and fill up and then go and get your card back and pay. I guess too many people have stolen fuel. All the stations have swipe cards outside, but you have to put your zip code in and of course we don't have one.
Our 4wd to rent for three weeks cost $2000.00 dollars, the insurance cost more than the car. We weren't supposed to drive it on dirt. Whoops. It was a Ford Escape - averaged 25 mpg - and went well.
