Never changed the alarm clock and woke up early for a breakfast. Then Coach Crawl to go through all the different units. We had a group shot photo. Then for a Soup Supper catered. Very hood homemade soup and desserts. Hung around for a little karaoke. Ate dinner with Jim and Nadine, Lester and Margaret. Pooped ...
Mykaa River Resort – Venice, FL

Trip Mile Marker: 1,599
Departure morning at Everglades Isle, we wake up to sunshine and warmth that makes it difficult to leave, but it is time to move on. A short drive to Venice, FL and we arrive at the Myakaa River RV Resort, a former KOA campground 10 miles out of Venice. The campground was small, mostly full timers and very ...
... We walked around the site and he was gone, along with our fire, when we got back. He must have been after the White Russians as there was no other food in sight at our campsite.
We called it a night, prepared to pack up early the next morning as another storm was set to come through. At least we got 24 hours of sunshine and were able to dry out. We had a perfect beach day and really enjoyed our time at Grayton Beach - nothing like heated showers and a day of ...

Let me start by saying that this won't be as convoluted or as polished as my last travel blog (and of course by "polished", I mean "typed"). I am using this not only to keep a record of my upcoming trip to see my Seminoles play the Auburn Tigers in the BCS Championship Game in Pasadena, but also to get back into the rhythm of writing for the 2014 Europe trip during Spring Break.

TravelPod Member ReviewsSummer Breeze Destin
Located right in the midst of the Emerald Coast on Scenic Hwy 98, Summer Breeze is literally steps away from the beach! From our balcony, we could hear the crashing of the surf and see the colors of the sky, sea and sand!
Our 1 BR condo had room enough for 6 to sleep comfortably, but would have been a circus with the use of only 1 bath! As this trip was for 2 and our Jack Russell, Sammy, we had no problems! The whole unit was decorated in a seaside/beach theme of colors, clever painting, interesting art/decorations and a well appointed kitchen, even with tropical/lighthouse themed dishes! The bedroom had one king bed that was comfortable enough, but I am used to a softer mattress. The only complaint was that the exterior corridor lights bled into the front room all night and made it harder to fall into slumber! Otherwise our accommodations were lovely and clean!
