Summer Breeze still comfy in the Fall!

Located right in the midst of the Emerald Coast on Scenic Hwy 98, Summer Breeze is literally steps away from the beach! From our balcony, we could hear the crashing of the surf and see the colors of the sky, sea and sand!
Our 1 BR condo had room enough for 6 to sleep comfortably, but would have been a circus with the use of only 1 bath! As this trip was for 2 and our Jack Russell, Sammy, we had no problems! The whole unit was decorated in a seaside/beach theme of colors, clever painting, interesting art/decorations and a well appointed kitchen, even with tropical/lighthouse themed dishes! The bedroom had one king bed that was comfortable enough, but I am used to a softer mattress. The only complaint was that the exterior corridor lights bled into the front room all night and made it harder to fall into slumber! Otherwise our accommodations were lovely and clean!

... made me a little strong here and there, once dropping off into the surrounding water. As Bob and Dianne generously went fishing for my ball, I stood back and found a pretty backdrop for that photo-op. Being the good friend that she is, Dianne refused to give up on the hunt - until we were rushed off by sensible Guy.

... can use the sun's energy to make sugar which becomes food for the fungus. The fungus absorbs water and nutrients from the soil and air for the alga. Who knew -- totally fascinating! And as you can see from the last picture, Sassy and Odie are totally at home in our trailer -- we have two recliner chairs and they have each claimed one! Oh well -- it's much better to have happy kitties than mad ...

... order Fresnel lens is still in use today, and is maintained by the U.S. Coast Guard as an active aid to navigation. We were also able to spend some time with one of Dan's nieces and her husband, Kim and Rob Carroll, who live near Pensacola in Pace, FL. A fantastic day, but we were both tired by the time we got back to our trailer -- guess we're not as young as we think!

... place. All pull-thrus are lengthy and spacious. This is our third time here. Great owners...always improving the place.

Took Nattie out for a spell and then a nap.

We head west to Bellingrath Gardens tomorrow so that'll be a colorful entry for you to view.

... now staying. It's a small world! Today we drove into Destin to Home Depot for a water regulator gauge and a grill propane hose -- not especially fun, but necessary. Then on to Henderson Beach State Park to walk on the beautiful white sand beach -- got our 10,000 steps in and enjoyed every minute of it. Gulf beaches are probably the most beautiful in the world -- or at least we think ...
