Summer Breeze still comfy in the Fall!

Located right in the midst of the Emerald Coast on Scenic Hwy 98, Summer Breeze is literally steps away from the beach! From our balcony, we could hear the crashing of the surf and see the colors of the sky, sea and sand!
Our 1 BR condo had room enough for 6 to sleep comfortably, but would have been a circus with the use of only 1 bath! As this trip was for 2 and our Jack Russell, Sammy, we had no problems! The whole unit was decorated in a seaside/beach theme of colors, clever painting, interesting art/decorations and a well appointed kitchen, even with tropical/lighthouse themed dishes! The bedroom had one king bed that was comfortable enough, but I am used to a softer mattress. The only complaint was that the exterior corridor lights bled into the front room all night and made it harder to fall into slumber! Otherwise our accommodations were lovely and clean!

We woke up early to enjoy the beach and hoped to see dolphins but no luck. The beach was stunning though. We had breakfast and packed up to leave. They gave us a CD on check out from the Inn of romantic beach music! Such a nice touch. I was sad to leave. It was so nice there.

We ended up with a 7 hour drive plus the hour that ...

... but eating was difficult and the eagle eyed seagull was standing by for any handouts which he did not get since last night I witnessed what happens when you feel one seagull and 10,000 of his closest friends and enemies come to join the possible feast (a young child was feeding them bread up from us at the next beach area). So I had to inform him of this dilemma I was in. But he was persistent and danced around us the whole ...

... one of the cheaper rooms to keep costs down but I don’t feel like we are missing anything at all. We have room 302 which is 3rd floor of the main building (no elevators…so lots of steps which is what my legs need anyway) and we have a queen bed facing the state park with a small balcony. It also overlooks the ocean from a side view. I think that is just fine. We are right on the beach so it’s ...

So I put them on anyway, no one is going to see me while I am on the bike, and a few gas station attendants won't matter. As it turns out the additional ventilation is quite welcome! I make 3 stops today, and at each I look for/ask for a small sewing kit so as to effect repairs, but without success. Sadly as the day wears on the opening begins flapping in the wind and getting bigger, by days end it exceeds even my own ...
