Its always sad to leave a vacation at the end of the week. We didn't really worry about how the ride down would go, we knew we would be tired but we figured it was the best solution for little miss, the ride home on the other hand scared the living heck out of me. There was no real way to drive overnight this time around. We decided to wake up at 5:00 and head out as early as we could. ...
... was absolutely mesmerized. She spent the whole rest of the cruise pointing to dolphins and birds as she saw them, giggling and smiling, dancing and waving to everyone else on board. Once we got back to the harbor we had two different groups of people tell us she was the hit of the trip (which of course made my heart swell with pride).
I would highly recommend sea blaster for dolphin cruises, they make it so much fun ...
... right back down to the water and went in up to her knees. We were so excited, keep in mind, up until this point in the week, if the waves even touched her toes, she instantly took off in the other direction as fast as her little legs would take her. I ran so quick to catch up with her that I didn't get a chance to grab my camera so I didn't get to get a picture of her :(. From that point on she loved the water, mommy's little girl loving ...
... but it was easy to find. When we pulled up we saw the huge building surrounded by about 50 airplanes and helicopters on display. We walked the whole outside first, checking out all the planes on display, it was so cool to see how big these planes are in real life, and little miss had a blast running along the pathways to her hearts content (other than the couple of times she fell and scraped her knees :( ...
... Island. I have always had a soft spot for fishing piers, something about them is just the epitome of the coast for me. When we went to the Gulfarium on Saturday you could see the pier from the exhibits and I just couldn't wait to find a time to go explore it. It was $2 a person to walk out (more if you wanted to fish) and definitely worth it, seeing local fisherman try for a catch, watching surfers beneath catch some waves, and just ...

TravelPod Member ReviewsSummer Breeze Destin
Located right in the midst of the Emerald Coast on Scenic Hwy 98, Summer Breeze is literally steps away from the beach! From our balcony, we could hear the crashing of the surf and see the colors of the sky, sea and sand!
Our 1 BR condo had room enough for 6 to sleep comfortably, but would have been a circus with the use of only 1 bath! As this trip was for 2 and our Jack Russell, Sammy, we had no problems! The whole unit was decorated in a seaside/beach theme of colors, clever painting, interesting art/decorations and a well appointed kitchen, even with tropical/lighthouse themed dishes! The bedroom had one king bed that was comfortable enough, but I am used to a softer mattress. The only complaint was that the exterior corridor lights bled into the front room all night and made it harder to fall into slumber! Otherwise our accommodations were lovely and clean!
