Located right in the midst of the Emerald Coast on Scenic Hwy 98, Summer Breeze is literally steps away from the beach! From our balcony, we could hear the crashing of the surf and see the colors of the sky, sea and sand!
Our 1 BR condo had room enough for 6 to sleep comfortably, but would have been a circus with the use of only 1 bath! As this trip was for 2 and our Jack Russell, Sammy, we had no problems! The whole unit was decorated in a seaside/beach theme of colors, clever painting, interesting art/decorations and a well appointed kitchen, even with tropical/lighthouse themed dishes! The bedroom had one king bed that was comfortable enough, but I am used to a softer mattress. The only complaint was that the exterior corridor lights bled into the front room all night and made it harder to fall into slumber! Otherwise our accommodations were lovely and clean!

Sorry this is a bit late, we've been pretty busy in New Orleans and been moving around. But hectic is fine since we did SO much relaxing in Florida! The 6 and a half hour journey from North Georgia was hard, but we crossed through Alabama (another one to tick off) and the end result was so worth it. We were to be staying in a little place called Seaside, between Destin and Panama City on the panhandle. Very exclusive, and incredibly pretty! Got ...
183 miles today and cool. Time zone change too. This morning I was checking FaceBook and there was a post honoring Navy SEAL Danny Dietz who sacrificed himself to save others in Afghanistan 10 years ago today. We should never forget those who have given their lives for this country or those who have given their service to keep our lives free to enjoy.
I commented to tell America about the Green Beret Foundation and ...
We have really enjoyed topsail hill, pretty centrally located, bike riding and mostly private beach access. Plus lakes, kayak and canoe rentals, tall pines to camp under and great staff. Today is red and purple flag day again so no beach. Hit the pool, did some bike riding ...
... them to learn.... Had a scare today with camper... Came back from seaside and only the back a\c was working. The rest of the camper was dead. Thankfully Haole was in the back where it was cool. And Rick was persistent and able to call Rocky Mountain rv and talk through options. Turned out it was the campsite 50amp hookup that was the problem. Very very thankful!! Going inland tomorrow for a kayak trip, looking forward to ...
... Played some catch and of course rode bikes! Funniest mental picture is mommy riding Kyler's bike with the seat down. I think my knees hit my ears almost every pedal. Ended the day with some more grouper and ice cream cones, YUM! Another great ...
