... it was monday, and of course museums are closed. a major storm also came in and the scaffolding in front of a construction site that i had just walked past was now blown over and flapping in the wind. lucky me for narrowly escaping death!<br><br>for the most part, the old historic part of town was pretty dead as it is the end of tourist season, but i was able to check out the harbour, Hadrian's gate, and a few other sites.
Antalya, Turkish Mediterranean Coast, Turkey dryley... Med, once again. <br><br>We toured the ruins, I stuck my toe into the Med, and then retreated back for a little siesta. We had a time change last night, and kinda screwed my clock up.<br><br>We plan on staying here 2 nights, then on to Kas.

Antalya, Antalya, Turkey aytgroup... was very funny.<br><br>We got on the river. The rest of the people were in a white water raft, but we were in two inflatable 2 person kayaks. The first stop of the rafting trip (there was actually no white water) was at a waterfall where we all got our photos taken by the trip photographer. He took a liking to Lindsey and said, "I like your face." Then, he made her pose for all sorts of solo shots. He wrote his number and wrapped it in a plastic bag so that she would not ...
Olympos, Antalya, Turkey kickthrough... pretty and when we got there very empty. There was a stream coming down into the ocean of very very cold glacier water, making the bay very cold, which was pretty cool. Amazing to be in the hot sun of the Meditterranean thinking about cold cold water flowing all the way down from a high mountain glacier.<br><br>Geoff kept going on and on about how ridiculous that no one else was in the bay. "This is just...fantastic...there is no one here. Wow!"<br><br>Of course, after he said that the ...
Olympos, Antalya, Turkey jimmyandkristen... I picked it as it had the best atmosphere. I wanted to stay in one of their treehouses but you needed 2 people to stay in one and it had no A/C. So I just picked a dorm room. Sarah also ended up staying in the same dorm room. After I dropped off my backpack and changed into my bathing suit, I went to check my emails to see if I got my Iranian Visa application approved. Bingo! I got it. I was very pleased. I received an email informing me that my application was ...
Olympos, Antalya, Turkey dinovagabond... has some of the most impressive ancient ruins in Turkey. Then we got to our hotel; www.villa-monte.com in Cirali which I have to admit I was nervous about it since all hotels are terrible in this part of Turkey. Except this one. It is so small and charming that we wish we could stay another night (but they are booked). We visited Chimera which is such an unusual site, it's sad to think so few tourists actually go here. It's a mountain with small fires all ...
Cirali, Turkey travelbeeHey all, Ýts Sarah...we are in Turkey at the moment (this will have to be short and sweet cause Turkish keyboards are hard...there are 2 'i's..whats that about??) So yes...we've been in Turkey for 2 weeks now..and we,re loving it so much so far. Because we were coming from N. Ýreland..it was cheaper to get a package holiday deal then just a flight so we spent our first week ýn Turkey at a resort ...
