    May 10 Mother's Day. 😊. A Beautiful Day. Founded in my home state of West Virginia in Grafton. Who would have ever imagined it would become such a celebrated day. Today was a full day... I love to travel early in the morning while the truckers are pulled off the road to sleep.     ... land for rice farming, raising cattle and in the early 1900's, the discovery of oil. This helped the town of Iowa to thrive during the depression.     According to the map and our schedule, we're supposed to be in San Felipe, TX, just west of Houston. However, we hit a little road bump -- figuratively, not literally. Dan is in the hospital here in Lake Charles, LA so we're still here. He had several medical issues that needed immediate attention, hence the hospital stay. We were very fortunate in that there is a good hospital here and we were able to stay in the state park several more ...
