After arising at 4.30am at the Heartland Hotel, and being transferred to Auckland airport by 5am on Wednesday 24 August, we again checked in and completed another round of departure information from Auckland airport. Our re-scheduled flight was due to depart at 8am and we took off just after this and headed for Perth.

After leaving Cape Town early Tuesday afternoon, we flew to Johannesburg and then on to Perth overnight - arriving Wednesday 28 September.
