    ... cheapest thing around but what a find. Run by an Italian couple they built the house themselves and it's beautifully done with exposed white and blue bricks they made themselves, wooden staircases and huge rooms with hammocks on balconies. Immediately changed our one night stay to four and settled in. Headed to Concha beach to watch the sunset and enjoy a beer on the coast.     ... the play-off game and it rained so hard the satellite cut out. God answering Brazilian prayers perhaps). There was a lack of late night venues to make the place feel fresh longer than a week though. Verena, who was obviously supporting Germany, said she had a friend in Salvador who could give us a lift from the ferry straight to the Fan Fest, so I hung around to get the bus with her on the day of the World Cup Final.

    ... frustrate the trip. In one of the days we did a boat tour in the Barra Grande bay. And in the end we had lunch at island where we ate Lobster, Octopus and drinks paying 60 dollars for two. A great tip is to have lunch in Bar da Rosangela, a restaurant in the beach, really rustic, 20 minutes walking from Barra Grande, with great food. It was the best restaurant in the vacation, ...
