    ... 8th morning we felt a bit worse for wear so we had a nice long lie in. We then got sorted and went for a wander to the shops to get water. That afternoon we were feeling more normal and we walked to first beach. There was a lot of beach action going on. Particularly impressive were these two Brazilian girls playing with a football.     ... bean/pea paste breaded deep fried rugby ball, was not – not sure what the fillings were except they didn’t taste fresh other than the tomato – there was cooked whole baby shrimp, a couple of pastes, with a small smear of pimienta, what they call hot sauce/peppers here. Apparently one of the pastes, the nicer of the 2, was probably Vatapa, made of bread, peanuts, onion, ginger & coconut ...

    ... explored the village, stocking the fridge
    from the cheapest places given island prices – this applied to meals out so
    tuna & crackers for dinner!

    Because of the time diff, plus as now at 14 degrees days are
    shorter, got sunset timing completely wrong and missed it – took a short stroll
    north for better twilight views until voracious mossies drove me indoors.

    ... many people were snorkeling right from shore. Exhausted from the previous day of traveling, we stayed close to a cabana selling cold cervejas and waters.
