... It's easy to imagine using the cave as a dry comfortable home.
While it poured on and off during our 2 day stay, we got luck and hiked both days without getting soaked. The park is named after a young girl and here's the story:
THE LEGEND OF PETIT JEAN
This story of adventure began with a young French nobleman named Chavet who lived in the period of French exploration of the New World, and who was said to be a kinsman of ...
... zebra cloth turned to Snuggie, and he himself dozed through all of Illinois, waking briefly to what he thought was lightning, (although it was only Chelsea snapping a photo for future blackmail purposes.)
Making it just to the Illinois/Missouri border, Nick and Chels relied on their trusty road companion, Delores, to guide them to the local K-Mart to purchase a mechanism designed to produce jams from an i-Pod, to the speakers of the car.

Spent the day in the caverns. Took 2 tours - Discovery and Dripstone trails. Strolled through large, beautifully lighted rooms with handrails and paved trails where we saw glistening formations like stalactites, stalagmites, columns and where flowstones are still changing. These crystalline formations are the result of minerals deposited by dripping water.

Mountain View, Arkansas, United States socksMoved to a farm in an old school bus. No house on the farm. Lived in the bus until my dad built 2 shacks and an outhouse. Took a bath once a week in a big metal wash tup and shared the water with my 2 brothers and sister. 1 at a time of course while the others held up a sheet so the cars passingby on the dirt road couldn't see us.
Mountain View, Arkansas, United States bobby.rayAfter a long day of driving, we finally made it to Arkansas. Our first stop was to eat at Fred's Fish House. They are known for their fried cat-fish. I'm not much of a fish eater, but even I had to admit that it was good. I ordered the coconut shrimp which was also excellent. We then checked into our hotel, which had a great view of Norfork Lake. The hotel we ...

People were not friendly and seemed to look at us with suspicion, not sure what's happened to the Southern hospitality coz it certainly wasn't here .. "Get us outa here Mrs G and Goldy!" The country side was spectacular, with magnificent sparkling lakes nestled in valleys, everywhere has RV parks (heaps of Winnebago style campers and decked out buses on the roads) and this area is a fishing paradise - and has bears in the ...

Marshfield, Missouri, United States curiouspete... Philly at 12.00 noon, where we got some food (being Dunken Donuts) for our kids. Jumped on the 12.45 train to Lansdale and was picked up and dropped back at camp by 4.00pm. We had an hour before we had to be back working so most of us relaxed in the pool or played touch rugby. Then it was back to the reality of camp and all it had to offer, for most of us we still wanted to be back in Atlantic City, we all went to dinner and then got ready for our evening activity.... which was ...
Camp Green Lane, Pennsylvania, United States travelledkiwiIt's amazing what traffic will due to travel plans. We had planned to take I-44 across Missouri but the cars were backed up for miles. The joy of traveling without any real goal is that you can always make quick changes. So we did. We took a small back road down into Arkansas and then decided to take Hwy 62 across the northern part of the ...
