... Alison bought a small leather change purse for &#8364;2 to replace her stolen wallet. Then it was back to enjoy the pool at the timeshare. We spent a very relaxing day enjoying each others company, sunbathing in the heat of the day, before heading back to Girona airport with Chris &amp; Milly at night, so that they could catch their flight back to London. Our farewells weren&#8217;t too teary, as we knew we would see them again in two weeks, in Auckland.

The timeshare (Port de Rei) is situated a short distance out of the town of L'Escala. We drove through town following Dora&#8217;s directions, but were not too sure where we were headed, eventually ending up outside a large building built on a rugged coast overlooking the Mediterranean. ... the last day we got a tour of the city. It's constructed in the shape of a triangle, which was different. We saw the beautiful church (didn't see that coming, did ya?) and took a tour of the city walls, which was incredible. Storm clouds on the horizon behind the city. I was on top of the world. Then we drove back to Barcelona, and as Kortney and I got home, the rain swept in.<br><br>All in all, a basically perfect weekend! I didn't even get sunburned!<br>

Last day with our C8 MPV and so Sue plotted out a day on the Costa Brava coast. Her research was spot on and we ended up for breakfast at Tossa de Mar (albeit at 10am). In order to get to get to Malta without paying an arm and a leg or having to fly for 10 hours or more via Italy we decided to take RyanAir out of Girona.
