Mmm cafe

... We were fed dinner of a croissant sandwich, salad, and a dessert and NIck got a free Tecate beer. [Drinkin' Tecate is a must.]
We arrive in Mexico City and I'm thinking I want some caffeine. So, I dig out our bag of pesos and I buy a mocha from Starbucks. Thinking that I was in a secure zone, I could bring my coffee. Alas, I could not and we had to get to our terminal. So, as hot as it ...

... in life is to entertain. This news REALLY took the fun out of the whole day. It would be one thing if these mammals had been injured or abandoned in the wild, but just to be bred for entertainment and profit really irks me. I would NOT recommend attending this establishment to feed profits for the greedy. Nuff said about that....

Riassunto degli ultimi giorni

... chiudesse!!

the Perfect Day

... and while we had a slow start in P.V. that was the only 'dog' of the week! However, with each great restaurant the chance of the next one being less impressive grew...but that didn't happen! We had basic but good food in Mazatlan at a beach restaurant....a great buffet lunch at an elegant colonial hotel in El Fuerte....it got better in Loreto, overlooking the ocean ...took a dip in La Paz...but we ended the itinerary with a tremendous lunch at the Tropicana Inn, in San Jose del Cabo ...

... on one end, and shops and restaurants and often govt offices around the other sides. The zocalo itself is a park with many benches and paths, and maybe a bandstand, playground, etc. People gather ther in the evenings. If they're on the water' the towns will often have a waterside promenade or malecon. Loreto had one, but it was pretty empty. Overall the town was clearly trying to pull tourists, but still quite rough around the edges. That said, it was ...

... time this evening. We may stop here an extra night or visit a couple of other places on the peninsula, ending up back in La Paz. We have decided to travel up to America earlier than originally planned so we have about 16 days in the states to travel up the Californian coastline from L.A to San Francisco, most likely by bus. We haven't booked our flights yet so plans may still change. We'll have to see! Hope everyone is well and someone is feeding and watering Rich for me.

Last Day

... government has "illegalized" selling goods in the streets, yet people do it anyways. They know it's a necessary way of life for some people. We spent literally ALL day buying things! there's not much else to say about today' events. Finally, we returned back to the hostel to find everyone lounging out in the lobby. I had this great conversation with this English lad named Tom. He said I would "love" London. Him and the girls he is travelling with are coming to San Diego in a ...

... roofline. The food was delicious. The only drawback was the HUMID HEAT. Our waiter told us this was very unusual. Our luck, but nothing was going to put a damper on a long awaited meal at Hotel California. Rushed into the gift shop to buy a Hotel California T-shirt. No luck, they don't sell them. AGHH! The bus was leaving in a couple minutes so we scampered on. Sat down and looke out the window. Across the street from us is the hughest t ...
