Another semi-lazy day. Up at 7:30 and made a few phone calls. We had lunch scheduled today with Joan and her water aerobics group that have lunch together once a month. For sure, Bev was the youngest and I was the next youngest. Guessing their were over 40 seniors in the group. I have to admit that they had a great time celebrating an early St. Pat's Day. It was a pretty lazy day. Started with a great Mexian breakfast at Manuel's, a small family run resturant. Then we climbed the steps of the light house in Port Isabel. It was an interesting and challenging climb. The last set of steps were actually two ladders that were straight up. It was a beautiful view but it was overcast so pictures were not the greatest. Then we drove to the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge. This area is know for the only remaining ocelots. ...
... that commute. As you travel out of town the sand from the beaches beome more evident. Pictures will help tell the story.
After a little walk around the complex where Joan lives, and along the wharf for those that have boats, we went to have dinner at Pier 19. Food was great and the sunset beautiful. A nice relaxing day that ended with a conversation with a old friend from Thermop that I hadn't visited with for over 20 ...
