    ... that I have come to San Miguel, I leave more of my stuff behind in San Miguel, so that there is more and more of my stuff in San Miguel.. I am now renting my place in San Miguel year round, on a yearly lease basis...And there is always other stuff that I have to take care of and deal with when I am leaving one place or the other - San Miguel or Ottawa....

    I think that the mother's might have more fun on Children's day than the children..
    It is like playing with dolls, dressing up their little kids....
    They, the Mexicans, do the same thing on Mother's Day, which is on May 10,
    that specific date, in Mexico... They go to Catholic Mass on these days and they get blessed by the Catholic Priests....

    Three buses later and we were finally in Michoacan in the Mexican central highlands. Musicians hopped on and off the bus to play some tunes, vendors selling all sorts of food: jelly with fruits, crisps with the Mexican "accessorie" to ANYTHING edible - lime and hot sauce, "tortas" - a sort of sandwhich with various fillings, and more...



    My prejudiced mind was slightly surprised at how smooth the bus-rides ...

    ... with a sixth grade classmate, Mara, for a slumber party. Mara is the only other American girl in her class; she is a very kind girl who likes Katie a lot. Caroline, Thomas and I went to Malaquin Country Club with Stacy, Maddie and her boys. It was a warm evening; my two and Maddie went swimming. What a treat for them!
