... Menton, was our fav town on the Riviera. It was quaint, safe and friendly. The locals and tourists were all well-dressed and behaved and the water was bright turquoise and as warm as a bath. We spent a great day, exploring and taking pics and the Toulouse Sausage and free-range BBQ chicken from an outside rotisserie at the market, really hit the spot. We also discovered Claude Reins plums, which are a small, green, exquisitely sweet plum. Delishio!!

Our apartement was not that great in some ways. First of all, there were alot of insects, but I guess you get what you pay for. It was nice though, because there were two levels to the apartment, the level which i slept on the couch, and a bed above, which was where Ziming spent most of her time. Took our time getting up after a long touring day last couple of days. We walked along the ?? enjoying the Mediterranean Sea and the views of the city. We walked as far as the historic Negresco Hotel, which we were abruptly told that we could not tour unless we were guests! So we left and continued our walk. We enjoyed a hot drink at the Cafe de Paris and wondered what the photographers were waiting for. We then found out that Kylie Minogue was performing at the main casino. We enjoyed people watching - how the other half live.
We got home at midnight but it was well worth it.
Many of you probably expected a mass of posts about my adventures in France. Unfortunately, aside from my hiking trip to Eze, I was hard at work.
