... maybe no gladiators! We are quite disappointed that we have spent less than a day here, but I really only wanted to use it as a base to see the sights nearby. We drove the long way to the Carmargue today. The guide books are offputting as they describe gangs of thieves who target foreign cars. Once we had turned off the main road at Arles, the land immediately became flat with big skies. Almost immediately we came across the white horses that the area is famous for, grazing by the roadside.

The usual things …. sore feet, legs, hips, shoulders,
sunburn, circulation rashes, tiredness, lack of water, too much wine with the
evening meal and poor sleep have all become evident. BUT the good things, primarily that we have
traveled over 130 kilometres, the hills were not so high (the first hill was
only 500metres high,) there was no rain, ...
i have been in agde in estern in my grandfather home. i have visited museums : haribo museum, school museum . . . it was boring. i have ate fish and octopus. the octopus was rubber, strange, gut. i have visited town, i have did shopping, i have ate many ice cream : vanilla, caramel, barbapapa, chewing gum, violet . . . i have been in sea every day. it was a wonderful travel !
... a similar trip as us and fell in love with Avignon). The best part, however, was discovering Cotes du Rhone which was a wine tasting festival. For only 5 euros, you receive a (bottomless) wine glass and a breathalyzer (neat!). We were able to try reds from all over the Rhone valley, even tried some roses here and there... (We are really becoming wine snobs eh?) And with that, we decided to keep heading east - Aix-en-Provence and Marseille to come ...
