... fun day and I really enjoyed spending time with Michelle and Michael.

Today the three of us went our separate ways. I went to mass at a church near the hotel and bought a scarf at the Sunday Market on the street. I then bought a banana and nutella crepe and headed into the main part of the city where I went looking for the Pantheon. After many wrong turns and pretty views of unexpected places I made it. The sun was shining ...

Day 1 started with arrival in Paris around 9am. None of us slept much on the flight over as it was not really a red eye. The flight itself was fine and uneventful. We are staying right in the center of Place Victories in an amazing 4th floor flat ...

... truly a sight to behold. We also accidentally joined a veneration service. I escaped but Sophie joined a queue and ended up kissing the crown of thorns, quite an experience! So after Sophie shared her germs with hundreds of tourists we left feeling blessed, quite literally. There are so many Patisseries here in Paris so we can't help but stumble into one every now and then. We tried our first macaroons and are now hooked, they are so delicious. We are planning a trip ...

... finally came to a decision and Battery Boy selected a bottle of Domaine Weinback Pinot Noir 2012 which would complement their meal.

Battery Boy and Video Girl both had Rabbit rilletes, girolle mushrooms and heart of roman lettuce followed by pan seared duck beast fillet, gnocchi 'A la Parisienne', big arcade sauce then for dessert, three tarts for dessert, one chocolate, one with custard and one with fruits. After nearly 30 ...
