Mountains of Rock, Chocolate and Discovery
Switzerland is alright I guess. I mean if you like rolling green hills spotted with rustic lodges at the foot of dramatic snow-capped peaks. I mean if you like a place where trains soar higher than planes and only the curve of the earth halts your view. I mean if you like to snack on decadent chocolate that melts over your tongue as you contemplate what dream in your heart to pursue next, then I guess maybe Switzerland is an alright place for ...
Last day in Zermatt
... tend to do it as a home dessert. We have certainly noticed the difference in food prices here compared to Italy; a marguireta pizza is 19 Swiss francs compared to around 4 or 7 euro in Italy. Ron and I had a coffee each and shared a tiramisu in one of the cafes in Zermatt and this came to 20 Swiss francs, usually we can get 2 expressos at the bar and 2 croissants for as little as 4 euros. We found the restaurant that sold fondue but it was closed, we checked out the price and ...
Skiing

Apparently on the way down one of the team stumbled and knocked over a fellow team member, 2 others on the ...
Alpine hike
... they are out grazing. At various points in our trekking you could see signs to Italy, the Matterhorn is on the Perrine Alps that border both counties and in winter you can ski across nations, interesting idea to have to remember to pack your passport as you go skiing. The 100m suspension bridge over the Gornera Gorge was lots of fun walking over, the running water 50m below would look amazing frozen in a few months time. We stayed for a while playing on the swings ...
