    ... and ask if they could get us to Bangkok and a connecting bus to Phuket. They only did buses to Bangkok so we thought, if worst comes to worst, we could stay somewhere we at least recognised, stay the night and sort ourselves the next morning, plus we could do some last minute shopping, always a bonus.
