... seem too fussed to her credit, so laid back about the whole thing, really didnt seem to care at all!
Anyway we had lunch, the weather was actually good for the first time that week so we spent the afternoon swimming before Carly had to leave.
I was so, so close to just saying stuff it, and getting on the bus with her to San Jose. I havent had 2-3 days like that before in my life, it really was amazing. Not going with her is the only regret I have so far on the ...
... to capture the sunrise with my camera as I also took time to just get the feel of this place. It is taking me awhile to settle....even as I write this update.
So after the sun was fully up, I decided to find some coffee and stopped at a corner restaurant bar. It is called, "Pan Pay" and the european owner hah dogs on property too, so as you know, I am a big dog lover and miss my three at home - including my beloved Rottweiler, named "Reggae ...

Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica tropicalcrA Volunteer Memory by Margherita Ladik The following is an entry written by our volunteer, Margherita Ladik, who came to us from Italy. Margherita volunteered with us at Cocles School near Puerto Viejo on Costa Rica's Caribbean coast in October 2008. What can I say about my volunteer experience? I have no doubts, it was unique. I ...
Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica tropicalcr... a few hikers just lounging in the sun. It was so peaceful, I didn't want to leave. We returned to Chile Rojo for lunch, showered back at the hostel, and headed for the bus stop, even though we had a few hours left. On the way to Puerto Viejo, we'd had assigned seats, but a few poor saps had had to stand the whole way; our return tickets listed "unassigned seats," so we wanted to make sure that didn't happen to us. It was a long, hot, sweaty wait, but it was ...
Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica espriseme... in Costa Rica. We went on a 14 mile long bike ride ( iI don't think I've ever ridden a bike that far), and played at a beach. We were very apprehensive to get back into the ocean after Bocas, but found a very busy beach with lifeguards and stayed in very shallow water. The time in Puerto was relaxed and much needed.
Puerto Viejo, Province of Limon, Costa Rica ssweeten... out of the canopy if they have to, like to cross a road that has been cleared.) Plus, they do this almost subvocal whooping that is not monodirectional, at least to my ears. Really ****ing eerie, and really ****ing cool to lie in bed listening to this early morning call to prayer by monkey muezzin. As an aside, though, the eco-friendly, recycled, for all I know organic so you can eat it, toilet paper sucks ass ...
Puerto Viejo, Province of Limon, Costa Rica cadkinsca... howler monkeys which make an obnoxious sound that makes us all laugh. We also saw a giant green lizard and a bunch of crabs. Crabs are the best! After a night in a nice hostel, and a nice dinner (on Mrs. Zbrozek...mmmmm shrimp and fish in coconut sauce with cilantro), we went to Manzanillo further south. There we did some snorkeling and saw school of fish in the reef, and a giant starfish ...
Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica alezg... good bridge! it was a glorious sunny day surrounded by green landscape and the lake to our left. Ks horse and mine, Diamente, seemed to have a competition for the lead, although my Knees seemed to be rather close to Ks horses behind rather more than vice versa! At sporadic points my horse would go off in a canter past K, whose would then join in the race! I just hold on tight. At one point Ks horse went off into a canter, mine followed and turning round a ...
