        ... has turned out, teachers from the 6 participating schools, principals and parents, making the kids even more nervous. The most these kids have spelt in front of before was maybe 3 or 4 people, and that was mostly each other. But as they are sitting waiting a lot of the kids are still studying their spelling list, so you can tell they all want to do well.         ... monkeys -- the leader is the alpha male with several females in tow and they live about 30-35 years. Back on the bus we head to a pontoon boat to take us along the Corobici River where we saw 1 crocodile, some scarlet macaws, white ibis and their young, and swallows. it is so hot and humid that the animals and birds seemed to seek shelter from the heat as well.

        ... the guide informed us that this Tarcoles River was a wonderful and crucial habitat for hundreds of species and a wide variety of sea and shore birds and wildlife.
