    ... didn't want to be the guy who went too hard at 80s night...so naturally I just went my standard party shirt option.     Saturday was carnival day on Utila! We didn't know about carnival until we arrived so we were very lucky to be here! Sadly Maura left in the morning so we waved her off before helping to blow up balloons and get ready for the fun!     ... a more hopping part of the island. It is owned by Dutch people and screams expat. The place was hopping! It was brimming with young, tan people, and there was a karaoke night going on. The terrible sound system added to the atmosphere, I suppose. They didn't have give-a-teat shots (what if I get malaria!!), so we opted for some local beers (Salva Vida) and pineapple juice and rum.
