A few days into our stay there was talk among the people in the know about a boat race happening at one of the other dive shops. We had a quick beer before strolling down to the pier only to be confronted with what must have been the entire gringo population of West End. For instance, Suzanne sent me a couple underwater shots from out stingray hunt yesterday where the only stingray came past the beach dock 10 minutes into our hour and a half!! but we did see couple barracudas, gorgeous Queen Angelfish and lots more. Unfortunately I can't make them work for the blog upload. Anyway hope to improve the quality of the shots I do take and manage to pass on. We'll ...

... for some reason I had packed them all in my day bag today. As we sat on the boat we definitely did not look like we were making our way to a Caribbean island, I'm pretty sure I resembled an old granny with my hood up and scarf wrapped around my legs like a blanket!

We are staying at Underwater Vision on Utila, it seems to be the most popular on the island and has it's own mini beach, sun loungers and volleyball court, as well as a large bar ...
