... the day, this time at Overheat Reef. After another great dive, we were officially smitten with Roatán. A few days into our stay there was talk among the people in the know about a boat race happening at one of the other dive shops. We had a quick beer before strolling down to the pier only to be confronted with what must have been the entire gringo population of West End. There is a full moon party tonight so it's time for a Salva Vida beer on the dock.... ...

... so much sand the visibility dropped to nearly nothing and the sun was super bright and between the two I couldn't even see the instructor. Still I must have passed because we then went out on a dive and that was great. Lots of fish, 3 turtles, a squid and a big ass lobster. Thing was at least as long as my arm. I was also stung or bitten by something cause part of my ankle hurts but I can find absolutely no mark at all.

... birthday, and despite mine and Tyson's efforts the DJ wouldn't play happy birthday, so we all sang at the top of our voices to him (as he danced around in his floor length red skirt he'd donned for the occasion!). I lost Ali (who'd put herself to bed at some point), and watched the fire dancing with Phil, Matt and Georgia, and then finally called it a night and walked home with Tyson, closer to the following morning than the night ...
