We were feeling pretty tired by the evening so we watched a film in the room and then went for a quick bite to eat in a Chinese restaurant near the hotel so we could get an early night. The Chinese restaurant was actually quite good and I was happy as they had prawns with caramelised pecans on the menu, my favourite.

... insert sarcasm> provided each of with $24 worth of vouchers to help ease our 7 hr airport stay. We surveyed the airport high and low to make the most of our vouchers. Two sandwiches and an hour later they were gone. Needing to vent, I once again made use of the rebooking phones yet again to negotiate $300 AA vouchers for each of us as compensation for the delay. Surely doesn't cover the loss of the day, but it put a little salve on the wound. Also purchased a bottle of Absolute Mandarin ...
