      We arrived in Chicago 3 hours late, making our total first long distance Amtrak journey approximately 20 hours long. Overall not a bad experience with huge chairs which were comfortable but unsurprisingly not the best nights sleep. There were amazing views travelling through the countryside and mountainous regions of northeast USA.

      After a good night sleep we were all ready to hit the Free breakfast downstairs. Armed with Charlie's Weet-bix the 5 of us are ready for our first full day in Chicago. The breakfast is pretty good, a wide selection of food was available everything from cooked to order omelettes, boiled eggs, bagels so on and so forth.
