      Sleep is overrated

A travel blog entry by elainesj on Aug 16, 2014

After finally crashing at 3:30am and sleeping fitfully, 8am came around very quickly. I woke up feeling like a truck had hit me. Still, with ziplining in my future, I got my body down to the breakfast room as quickly as possible. The Sleep Inn was nice (I like their new fresh look), but the breakfast at this particular hotel was very uninspired. Normally, I'm happy to eat biscuits and gravy anywhere. So tactical orders from me and Lois saw us have pulled pork, ribs, chicken, and brisket on our two plates, just for research of course so ...

... place the Broadway Brewery was way too depressing and possibly one of the few places with no live music.

We popped into Honkey Tonk Central for 4 or 5 songs and one overpriced bottle of beer (which we would soon realize was the standard price around these parts) That was pretty cool but we had to keep exploring and obtain some nourishment.

We moved on from there to Merchant's (good reviews on yelp... no music but good food) We got in there ...

Afterwards we went to Honky Tonk bar .... A very happening place .... Excellent music continued all night long real country and western foot tapping music.

We rocked back to our hotel after midnight (party ...
