... of room to pass so it was really not too bad. What was bad for novice ocean cruisers were the wind and waves. Once we left the harbor and were out on the bay we had gusts up to 35 mph accompanied by 3-4 foot waves. We quickly discovered we do not like 3-4 foot waves. They make the boat rock from side to side and cause cupboard doors to open up and belch forth their contents. It also makes for tricky walking.
