not so lonely beach

... and turned- well did a half a toss and half a turn- before giving up and heading to the beach. i love the beach at night. but not the couples making out all up and down it.

so this morning, i got the hell out of not-so-lonely beach to klong prao where it's supposed to be more family oriented. and less backpacky. normally i wouldn't like that. but that was before i realized that lonely beach is only lonely to singles.

Thailand again

... onto the beach in search of better rooms, we found a beach from bungalow in Pen's and decided to stay. We went into town for brekkie in a local cafe and spent the afternoon on the beach. After a few sunset beers we headed into town for dinner and beers. Back on the beach we had a few drinks in the strip of bars by our hut. Day 2, Up and down to the restuarant for pad thai on the beach and more sunning ourselves. Watched the sunset and ...

Near to the End

... one of the backpacker areas and found accomodations rather quickly. People here are really friendly and very laid back--typical island vibes. Yesterday was spectacular. We did a high ropes course through the rainforest and had an absolute three hour ball! We had a five minute safety training session and then they let us loose into the tree tops. Heights aren't that terrifying for ...

Koh Chang

... place was advertised on the internet as no loud music or parties, just relaxing and has its own private cove which was brilliant for snorkelling. No beach though but it really didn't bother us as it was so beautiful. It's run by a guy Euan from Manchester who Lucy managed to get on with despite his love for Man Utd, and his Thai wife. All the staff there were great, really friendly. There was a restuarant/bar area looking out over the private cove where we ...

Jungle Trekking and Monkeys!!

... to the Jungle some day! You will love it there! It's ridiculous! we walked lots and crossed many rivers (I fell a few times...haha...the rocks are ridiculously slippery!) but at least our shoes kept us dry !! :) We swam in waterfalls which were pretty beautiful! We climbed to the top of a mountain from which we could see the highest peak on Ko Chang (which is 744 m high!) It was breath-taking! We also got to swing on a Tarzan Rope!!! It was a lot of fun! ... shocks towards the southern coast, stopping along the way to enquire about rooms for the next night. After making a few unsuccessful enquiries we finally found a place that had rooms for the next night. It was in the middle of a gorgeous piece of beach, there was a bar and a restaurant with a couple more small eateries down the road and the cabins, although a bit pricier at 600 Baht, were so cool and comfy they almost begged us to stay. It was exactly what we were looking for ...
