Our room at this resort was classified as being within one hotel and the resort had many different "hotels". It's quite a big place, enough so they manage to have the wildlife retreat in the middle and have something like 11 pools and 5 or 6 private beaches. We walked in and he spoke to the bank employee on my behalf because nobody there spoke English. He basically told the guy that it was a problem on my end, not his and that nothing was wrong. He did however end the conversation by saying there were 3,000 euros too many in that ATM though - so I knew it wasn't a problem on my end.

... English - everywhere else was fantastic. However, the moment we landed in Sardinia it was even worse!! In fact, we have yet to find one person that speaks English. We had been getting by with pointing and using basic words. Thank goodness for my pocket dictionary and phrasebook!
