... in the depths of Uniteds luggage pit. Much later that day, we are informed there has been succes and the luggage has been retrieved! Only to be informed the plane will now have to be reweighed for balance after losing a sixty pound gal and what must be her massive amounts of luggage....bloody hell why don't you repaint the feckin airplane while your at it! A full two hours later with a lovely sunset in the works we once again hear the request to buckle up ...
Yesterday, I tried to fix my stay at a guest ranch in the Texas Hill Country. However, the ranch of my choice is closed for a week due to a family wedding. I have checked for alternatives, but I either do not like the ranch or it is way too expensive. Therefore, I will jump on a horse in New Mexico or Arizona. Naturewise I will like those states better anyways.
So, this forenoon I will hop in a bus to San Antonio. Jan 29th in the evening, I will fly to El Paso.
Oh my goodness! What a night! 8 girls in 1 room coming and going at any time of the night. Making loud noises, putting the light on, snorring crazy, clogging the toilet, jumping around in the upper bunk, very limited respect. Under these circumstances I had my difficulties catching sleep. Am I getting too old for a dorm?

... 2 solid days on the road we decided to try and make the most of it. We spent Friday afternoon in the natural science museum, and then the butterfly house, which was cool we both held butterfly's. Then we checked into the hotel and took full advantage of the Mexican restaurant within walking distance, we had a nice dinner of fajitas and washed it down with a few very nice, very strong margaritas Saturday morning ...
... getting bored with their life of caravanning and clearly our blogs are the highlight of their trip!!! (oh no, what have I started?)
Anyway, for Mel's sake, our previous weekend (2/3 March, which I hadn't blogged about) was fairly quiet and uneventful for a couple of reason - Mase was exhorting at North Houston, so needed some time on Sat to work on that and secondly, the kids were working extra hard to get their school work up to date so they could ...
