Zanatepec, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico kunzandwanner... trip !!! hot water was an occassional luxury as was furniture other than a very soft bed, we both ended up in the middle......BUT HEY.......this is what travelling is all about....isn't it ? people were friendly, the markets were colourful and the food interesting !! but cheap. We did enjoy a few beers though. We went to see Uxmal ruins which we didn't think could surpass Chichen Itza......but they did as it in a jungle setting with 75 ...
San cristobal de la casas, Mexico mills01480... to warn drivers. Locals will paint a Tope sign on almost anything to give you a heads up. I think the folks living nearby get tired of the screeching tires, and the loud bang and the sound of metal skittering down the highway after being dislodged from the shoddy maintained vehicles. If you were to live near a Topa and wanted to sleep you would sign it someway. They become the staging area for many different ...
Arriaga, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico jdswedOn to Puerto Arista, a relative metropolis, plenty of shops, some of them even open! Out of high season seaside towns tend to only fully open at weekends when the city dwelling Mexican hordes descend. Found a nice little place near a smelly lagoon and not far from the beach, but sadly, as often happens in Mexico, the workers started banging around at 6am - because it´s really hot later, they start work early but with no concern for their sleeping clients.
Puerto Arista, Chiapas, Mexico ccchrissieJust a stop over in this small town, where a Saturday night is spent drinking until falling asleep in the streets. It was quite funny arriving there so late, everyone just coming to us so drunk and talking to us and then after one hour seeing them sleeping outside. This time has not much apart from good hot dogs, we went to eat them at a stand where they were showing a Mexican boxing game, and i had to stasy the whole 11 rounds and cheer up with the locals...
Arriaga, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico luciecox... isn't there, Audrey decides to go home. Tim at that precise moment randomly drives by and when asked nicely to take us back to Manapany he replies that he will take us from behind and then drives off into the night. Then Kat calls from some random house at Corossol and ends up sending a car to come get us, which by the time it does get there has no intention whatsoever to take Audrey home and also takes off into the night. Luckily, that is when My Guy ...
