... is a green stripe on one wall. We love it. And have had a mammoth wash of all the filthy walking clothes, which are now hanging out to dry. I even washed my hair!!! Now there is not a cloud in the sky and we are sitting on the terrasse, by the river, with a beer and wifi! Bliss. We have half board, but they don't do dinner so we walk to a restaurant 300 metres away, so till then we are not moving, just sitting in the sun and letting our feet ...

Now at Nogaro, which sounds more like Spanish than French, but it comes from a word to do with walnuts. We are still in Armagnac country, and each town says it is the main centre of Armagnac. 21 kms today, and quite easy. Again enormous!!! We decided it was an Ira candle lighting ...

... B. Nice town, another huge church, ramparts etc! And then we followed instructions to follow a road - the D29 - to our wonderful lodgings. (Walking in the direction of tomorrow's destination, so that will take a km or so off that!). This is a farm, as well as B&B, and they have vineyards, for Armagnac and wine, and poplar tree plantations. There is an elderly couple who own it I would say, and a younger woman who I think ...

Another easy day, at Condom on birth eve!

... a few Australians, apart from the French majority, but we realised we hadn't met any Americans till now, and I don't think English walkers. We do see them (or hear them!) but they seem to be driving tourists, not walkers. It was fine arriving early here, as Condom is quite a busy town, and we are at a hotel, so we were early into our room and have washing discreetly hanging in the sun before we set out ...
