... goats, and sheep. As soon as Elofonisi came into view, we knew that the drive had been worth it. The beach has several inlets of turquoise water, set off by the white and pink sand. ... fantastic seafood. At the end of the meal we were given free desserts and shots of vodka, an interesting way to end lunch! ... a good vacation. Around 3pm, after lazing much of the day away, we set off on our mini-adventure to some 500 year old monasteries, new by Cretan standards. Google maps successfully navigated us to the first monastery which was beautiful and serene, bathed in the afternoon light.
