      ... br> After lunch we took the subway to the Duomo - an amazing old church in the heart of the city. It is massive in size and "awe" effect. The floors were my favorite part of touring the inside. They are marble with a very pretty large floral print.       Museum at Academia for a bit of culture- lots of painting of last supper that were rescued(?) from churches in town. Some really old 14c stuff and some more recent restored items. Arrived a at the Lesmo station at around 9.20am which allowed us to watch the GP3 support race at those famous corners before walking to our seats at the Rettefilo chicane.       ... to the black diamond bar for aperitivo. Jono had talked this place up and he pulled through. For the price of a cocktail (€10) you can eat all the finger food you can fit in. Things from small sandwiches to prawn cocktails and Italian omelets. It was delicious. On top of that, the cocktails were really good. They didn't cheap out on the alcohol portions either.
