I left OKC with sun and cloud and 44 F. But as miles of farmfields and trees passed, the clouds thickened up and I wondered when the thermometer would hit 50. It did in spite of the persistent cloud cover, about an hour outside of Little Rock. But, hey, it did not rain.

... be more of a traveler in my own town and do some of the more touristy things, as well as just get out and explore more. Hopefully I'll have my eyes open a bit more than I used to and take more pleasure in smaller things. I may update this blog some in the future on interesting things from around Little Rock, but not as often as I did when traveling. I also plan on posting here about any smaller trips I take later.

Little Rock, Arkansas, United States djej2009... even did a little singing for our car, about heading east bound, the song was a little out dated but we forgive them anyways. Their coaching skills make-up for it. I guess American Idol is out of the question..sorry! Parents we definately already MISS you!!!! up Sunday morning ready to go. We had a few last minute things to take
care of, so we left a little later than we had planned - around 8:45
a.m. Google Maps and the GPS had us taking 316 to I-20 in Atlanta, so
we followed it. There was very little traffic on a Sunday morning. From

Drove to the capitol of Little Rock and saw the statues about civil rights.
Drove home to our hotel .Big help the car's GPS.
Had dinner at Waffle;s House near the hotel.It is a chain restaurants all over the south.Had waffles and pecan pie.

Lunch at McDonald.s for lunch.
Drove toward Little Rock.Stop at an Arkanasas TIC and obtain maps,info and hotel coupons.
Stayed at the Comfort Inn Airport.Little Rock. and use the discount coupon.
Had a pizza dinner at Boston Restaurant.Our waitress is a lonely Filipino American.
