      Hollywood & Runyon Canyon

On our third day in LA we decided to head over to Hollywood. I had read about Runyon Canyon park and the trails up the hollywood hills. This was on my 'to do' list... so glad we did it - it was so fantastic! The hike took approx 1 hour all up. The trek to the top was steep and hot (we didn't plan the timing very well - it was about midday and the sun was beaming down on us like no tomorrow!) but it was worth it ...

... the trunk. The day just wouldn't be complete without mom losing something. And the other meaning of this title refers to a homeless man who wouldn't stop talking to us on the metro. He explained to us after balancing on the railing while the train was moving that his ass was the reason why he was able to balance. He made it sound very profound. ... in. After Hollywood we made a couple of pit stops at some shops... The first store we went to was a shoe clearance warehouse which was HUGE! I have never seen so many shoes in one shop before... There was so much choice for ladies and men and so many amazingly high heels! I chose to buy a pair of sparkly black sneakers instead which I love! We then stopped at Ralph's Supermarket which was interesting to see the difference in pricing on groceries... ...

... drank, slept, ate and drank some more on the flight. Overall, an easy trip. We tried to rush and catch an earlier flight to Singapore when we landed, but the line to transfer and large size of the airport kept us from making it. By the time we got to the check in desk there was only one seat left in business. So we settled in at the lounge for our six hour layover. I'm definitely looking forward to sleeping on the flight to Singapore! Time traveled so far: 15 ...

      Day 53: Disneyland Day 3

... where we got to drive a car around a track it was good practice for when we get home as it was a right hand drive. Mind you the car i was following must of been a drunk driver as he was all over the place driving (Charlie was the driver). We also went on the Disneyland Monorail where we got to sit in the front with the driver. Even Dumbo (Charlie's toy) sat right up the front and didn't even fall off. I then headed to do some shopping like buy a couple more shirts ...
