          We have a cold day today but a short one. We need to make Portland Maine so Carolyn can fly home. We stop at a state park called Battle Mountain and pay $9 entrance fee to take a 2 mile road up to the top. The view is of Penobscot Bay.           Transportation was no issue for me and a friend on Friday, because USM provided free shuttle bus service from the Gorham campus straight to Congress Street.
