We did a Priceline deal at the very last minute coming into St. Louis (I didn't think it would work, but Tony insisted), and I was impressed with how great a place it got us, we were able to walk RIGHT across the street to the Arch! We plan to stay around here tomorrow and will probably head down I-55 Sunday.
The motorhome with its new tires worked beautifully and we had no problems. Phil, who
is as handy as Ron isn't, installed a couple of grab bars in critical spots so we old folks
can maneuver more safely,
Except for the wind on the travel days, weather has been cool but very nice and will be

Mini vacation!
... diner food!!! After this we headed to the zoo. It was pretty warm out 77 degrees and the zoo was packed!!! We walked around for an hour or so then headed to a park nearby. We ended our night at the St. Louis bread Co. aka Panera Bread!!! It is the same place just different name here as it originated here in Missouri. ... We went through all of the rooms, but other than the one room where the Dred Scott case was held, there wasn’t much information on the rest. There was a guide, but really the only information he wanted to give was to show off the sound acoustics in the atrium.

WE ARE LUTHERAN!
... walk around the zoo (penguins, monkey house—indoor attractions); however, we could not find reasonable parking, so onto the next stop—Concordia Seminary—at which we were able to walk the grounds and have a look around (see photos). However, our search for the zoo took us on a tour of Forrest Park, in other words, a wrong turn caused us to take the long way; however, we were able to see this beautiful park.
