So when we got in last night, we stopped by the fire station where we were staying, but couldn't find our contact. I texted him and then we drove around the town to see what we could see. What we saw was three fire trucks with their lights flashing down the street a few blocks, so we made our way over to the town library for some a/c and free wi-fi to wait for them to be done. We stayed overnight in a Walmart parking lot (we called ahead this time and we were rewarded with a manager who said we could probably stay there, as long as it was only one night) and thankfully it had cooled down quite a bit, so we just opened the windows and enjoyed the fresh air.
