DAY 6 - Abtioch, TN
... a bit while driving (see photo). “Abe” is still turning in better than advertised MPG’s. Gas is still $3.36. We are having great luck with these Super 8 Motels. The franchiser seems to be cracking down on them. Each one is very similiar - well equipped and maintained. Even the snacks for the breakfast are the same - down to the same sweet rolls each place. Down South
After a very long day of driving over 6 hours we arrived in Nashville!!! The drive was really scenic and most of the trees stilll had their leaves which were beautiful. We stopped at Wendys for lunch and I was so amazed by the menu and in love at the same time. They had normal cheese burgers.. then doube cheese burgers... then triple cheese burgers!! Day 20 - A couple of hours to chill out
... Montgomery Gentry, a current heavy-hitter in the music world put on a great set, and we also saw a number of other Grammy-winners, chart-toppers, as well as Riders In The Sky, who played “Rawhide.” Gotta love that. I think that we were all glad to have gone.

Honky-tonking, Nashville style

We had a good morning at the Farmer's Market, and a stroll thru Centennial Park with very touching sculpture and war memorials. One day we found a "triple D" diner to try Italian style, but it was a tad disappointing. Oh, well - they all can't be as good as Guy says!!
