... into the city where Bern gave as a short orientation and we were free for the next 3 hours to explore. Innsbruck is the home of Swarovski Crystal and there were many of their shopping bags back on the coach :) We arrived at our hotel at around 6:00, settled in and had our included Schnitzel dinner at 7;00. Most of us turned in for an early night, as we have a 7:00 start tomorrow as we head to Venice via Verona to see Juliet's ...

The top of the mountain was several things, the most immediate of which was cold! On the ground in Garmisch the temperature was 26 degrees, but on the peak it was four. It was also windy. The wind was like a hand on our backs, constantly threatening to push us over. Despite the cold, the sky was clear. We had heard that on a clear day ...

The hills certainly are alive in this beautiful part of the world. The scenery is just magnificent. Every corner brings another beautiful scenic view. The lush green grass, the Austrian Alps with their first dusting of snow on them, the rivers and streams with their unique colour of greeny blue caused by the limestone in the rocks, the Austrian/German style of housing all make this area so beautiful. We will surely come this way again. We ...
