This is the only true sandy beach on the Island and the kids and Cassie had a whale of a time running up and down the beach. I was on ball throwing duty and the kids were racing Cassie, it was a close contest as to who was going to run out of energy first. The water on the beach is very shallow so the kids could paddle out quite far which was ideal for throwing ...

We had another lovely day and the sun today was warm enough to top up on vitamin D. We agreed with the car hire lady to drop the car off a little later than we were supposed to. She just said to leave the car open and put the keys under the drivers matt. We love this trusting mentality in Greece. They are so articulate, thoughtful and polite, this is not something I say that often as they can be horrors to each other sometimes but I am a proud father non the less. Not sure where that came from but I thought I would share it anyway.

... went to the restaurant called Aphrodite where we were the only customers there, we had a lovely fish which was like a red mullet. We also had some giant chickpea dish, a Greek salad, some Retsina (local pine resin flavoured wine) and a few other dishes. Illias had a heated conversation in Greek with the owner as it was a little on the steep side for Greek prices. Ilias got an octopus from a friend for us as a ...
