    ... and hand wash everything in the sink. Not the most relaxing day, but clean clothes are nice! While the drive today was absolutely breathtaking, it was nerve-racking as well. The rest of us started our day with a whitewater rafting trip, so we got into a van with a German speaking driver who argued with me about the number of people he was supposed to pick up.     ... to pay at least double for on top of our extortionate rail passes. It simply just wasn't worth the money.

    And so came the happy coincidence that Mattijs and I spent two days in the majestically beautiful, Lake Bled.

    Of course we had seen photos of the place online, the small island with the church spire and trees in the middle of a perfectly blue lake but nothing quite prepares you for the moment you see Bled from the lakeside.
