    ... was supposed to be a short day but we still did not get back until 6pm ish.

    Saturday was set aside for a trip North to National Park Conestra. Away by 7am and to lunch by noon at a spot overlooking a large hydro electric lake.     ... and tidy, including the industry and silo storage areas. Good roads with tolls on any that are more than two-laned, and lots of trucks!

    Every so often we passed a traffic police station and adjacent yards full of crashed cars and motorcycles. It seems that if there is a dispute after a crash the vehicles are locked in a police compound.     ... malls. The centre reminded me more of a typical Brazilian city; busy, with lots of shops selling suspect goods (i got a Hollister t-shirt for 10 reals {about £3-£4}).
    The center has some nice parks with small craft markets and pretty grand cathedral. There is also a theatre, which apparently one of the best outside Sao Paulo city.
