Absolutely fine, off season prices are reasonable and there is really, really hot water in the mornings so you can warm up, and plenty of blankets are provided at night because it gets COLD in Kodai during the off season! That's all you need, really.

Kodaikanal basically has one job and that's to sit there and look pretty, and it does it incredibly well. It's high up here, about 2100 m.a.s.l. so it gets pretty chilly at night which is basically a politer way of saying "**** my life, you could fashion diamonds with my nipples right now!" ... by a wall of mist so there wasn't much to see. Afterwards we entered Bryant park which was pretty nice with lots of flowers, trees and greenery. We then started a 5km circuit of the lake, halfway through the rain came fast and heavy and by the time we finished we were both soaked through. After some lunch and a chai we set off again to look at the little shops and stalls in the area. The main thing here was ...

... in the earth it really was a challenge. As we reached Centre station after a few hours the French ladies turned back as we continued. Being back to the 3 of us again was nice as we stuck to our own pace and allowed us to take more shortcuts that were a lot more fun to descend. It was during some of these descents I noticed that Djohns agility was akin that of a mountain goat. Ours was not, although Djohn told us we would make very good Trekkers with a bit ...

Beautiful Mountains & slightly less scary monkeys

The temples I've seen here have been very special, but I decided it was time to do something other than temple finding. So I headed for the mountains. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but even the ...
