... too cold where every body part hurt so we called it quits early. We found out that Heavenly closed early too because of the conditions. Our plan was to take Jalen to see fireworks at Heavenly village on NYE but we cut the trip short and left NYE because of the horrible weather. It is way to cold, highs of 18. Jalen played a few minutes in the snow but not long because his face turned red. He really did enjoy the snow and kicking it and throwing it. He will have a blast in ...

More Pykett smoothies got the day going (goes without saying). Olly and I then took the Walker boys with us to Truckee to take the BMX rentals back and to search for wetsuits. Despite the Lake being the warmest it will ever be during the year it was still too cold for the Walker boys. But after a fruitless search we headed back to Kings Beach.

So we trudged back up the mountain side, 600' of elevation, to our parked vehicle. Wow, that was a hike but well worth it! We headed north on Hwy 89 and at Tahoe City it continued through to the Donner Pass. The Truckee River wound its way along the road and you could see rapids breaking up the flow of the ...

It’s 3’ wide and 400’ long. The mural includes upper and lower borders that represent Northern and Southern Nevada and in the middle images representing agriculture, ranching, and mining, the principal industries of early Nevada.

... the present. The drive to Carson City involved some aesthetically pleasant views as we crossed the mountains. Where there was lush green flora by the lake there was orange, arid desert over the mountain, spanning as far as the eye could see. The drive down the mountain was fun, with the accelerator making only sporadic appearances as we pootled down at about 60 mph, with lots of twists and turns. Carson City itself was a bit **** to be honest. We visited the Nevada ...
