I have not been to Lake Tahoe for over 10 years and I am still at awe how beautiful the Lake was.
We did a scenic tour to Emerald Bay and the views is breathtaking. I can stay there all day just enjoying the God Creation.
After an action packed week we a well-deserved day at the beach was in order. After the ubiquitous Pykett smoothie to get the day started we drove around the lake to Sand Harbor. Today we hiked to Angora Lake which consists of upper and lower lakes. Once we reached our destination at 7340' elevation, we were surprised to see so many people, young and old, picnicking along the water's edge and actually swimming, rowing, and paddle boarding on the icy water. Snow still lines its sandy shores and Echo Peak majestically overlooks this aquatic playground. We enjoyed a picnic lunch on a nearby picnic table and Gary treated us to a pitcher of fresh ...

The drive was pretty uneventful today. It took about 6.5 hours, much of which was on two-lane highways stuck behind semi-trucks and RVs. The scenery was beautiful and I even got a little "sun blush" on my face from the sunroof. (I will have to remember to close the shade tomorrow!!)
