      ... to us that the whole place has been exposed, by the BBC no less, as a front for the Church of Scientology. Suddenly it all makes sense. The unremitting positivity in the newspaper and on the walls. The odd ménage à trois between John, Irina and Ted. The obsession with 'success' and 'celebrity'. The almost indifferent attention to the hotel aspect. Wow, is all I can say, we got away lightly.

      We were up early and looking for an iPad but couldn't find one. Luckily Catherine got up not long after and made us breakfast. Eventually Dad joined us and later Mum and Phil got up.

      Phil was ringing the bells at the Church next door so we went and watched. It looked easy. I wanted to have a go but apparently you need to practise how to do it.

      I've been wanting to visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan for some time now but not yet made it down to Cornwall for the purpose.
