... pine trees not seen before, and amongst the mist. Great views over Dunkeld and the valley below. We couldn't find the Pict camp but did find a stone erected by forefathers during the monolithic era. Came back to our Manor, where we went for a swim in the indoor pool and now after a hot shower, we have settled into the bar for a dram of the house whiskey. ... on the famous bridge on the 18th hole. St Andrews is a lovely town and we took the opportunity to visit the ruins of the 13th century castle and cathedral. ... nights and we get dinner, and breakfast to boot. And we were just upgraded to a suite overlooking the Tay River. It is so nice we are debating cancelling Glasgow and staying here for another night or two. We will decide tomorrow once the free dram of scotch whiskey they just shouted us wears off. The seniors started in the castle first, so we headed to the Italian Garden, which was lovely, but probably more lovely in the summer when everything was in bloom.
